2016-JURY

The jury 2016

Christian JUINO.

A retired computer scientist, I practiced film photography and video for a long time.

The arrival of digital, and the fact of having more time, allowed me to discover and take an interest in digital slideshows, which I more readily call audiovisual editing.

I regularly attend festivals where you can appreciate the diversity, creativity and technical mastery of the short films presented.

As a spectator, it seems to me that an important part of the feeling (in addition to the scenario, the visual quality, the coherence, etc.), is linked to the soundtrack which supports the images, the rhythm, and the vibe.

Manuela MARIE

Guadeloupean, I keep in my heart the warmth of my island.

From Triello since 1992, I am very happy to live in this welcoming and warm "tri-island" city, on the banks of the Seine.

Today, it is a great honor for me to be deputy mayor of Triel-sur-Seine, in charge of associations, culture and communication.

I am passionate about History and Human Relations, I also like literature, painting, cinema as well as photography and photographic short films.

As an assiduous spectator of the audiovisual galas organized by the Triel photo club, I am very happy this year to actively participate in the international audiovisual festival “La Coupe Lumière” organized by one of the most active associations in the city: Clic Triel.

I will invest myself with the greatest care in the function of judge entrusted to me. The visual, sound and of course emotional qualities will be my priorities for this "Coupe Lumière 2016".

I hope to be worthy of it.

Jean-Louis TERRIENNE

I started doing slideshows in 1967 in a Paris photo club. In 1970, I abandoned, for family and professional reasons, this beginning of the beginning of passion. After more than 35 years of interruption, I reconnected with it, in 2005, thanks to a happy conjunction between the discovery of digital technology and the moment when I was able to legitimately assert my rights to retirement (37 years and a half as an engineer-designer in a large Parisian underground transport company…and a little above ground).

During this decade, I made about fifty digital montages

Within this jury, I will endeavor to highlight works capable of seducing the general public, those who do not yet know our discipline and who have yet to conquer: by the force of emotion, the novelty of writing, the authenticity of the approach and the sense of the show.

It is a point of view… there are others for sure; in particular those of my two colleagues on the jury who will apply themselves, I have no doubt, to asserting them with conviction and persuasion...
