The 2025 jury

Le jury 2025

Daniel Robinot

Amateur photographer since 1966, I am rather eclectic in my work (I don't like this term). Portraits, nature, architecture, everything is good. Within a photo club that I have chaired for a long time, I discovered the slideshow, with real slides and projections that sometimes crashed.

With the arrival of digital technology associated with many trips, I continued to produce audio-visual montages, often linked to these trips but not only. Then, being a player, I presented them at the Coupe Lumière.

These montages have passed through the hands of different juries, today, it is my turn to judge the many achievements of the 2025 vintage since the Coupe Lumière has done me the honor of inviting me to participate in the selection of the proposed works.

Behind the scenes of the Cup, invitation accepted without hesitation. Thanks to the organizers.

Pierre-Marie Artaux

Not being a photographer originally, it was the arrival of digital that made me take the plunge. And when I saw that we could tell stories with photos and sound, it was even better…

I am also interested in music (guitar), painting, cinema, history, as well as the field of the imagination (SF and fantasy) and the creation of images by AI.

A member of OI Paris since 2002, I started working in audiovisual in 2004, initially with humor, before moving on to documentaries in 2010. For several years now, I have preferred to use the expression "audiovisual creation" which seems more open to me than the word "slideshow".

Having already been a judge 4 times, I have some expectations regarding what will be proposed to us: coherence of the construction, interpretation of the text and choice of music. As for the nature and origin of the images, I consider that it is a personal choice of the author for what seems best suited to him.

Everyone has their own tastes and preferences, but it will be important to be open and unprejudiced about the subjects of the works. Thank you to the organizers of the Coupe Lumière for trusting me to try to find the pearls (which I hope are not too rare) worthy of being included in the prize list.

Emmanuel Bas

Amateur photographer and former leader of a Triel photo club, I discovered the world of slideshows in 2006. What fascinates me is bringing images to life through a soundtrack, and trying to arouse an emotion in a few minutes, from an idea, a theme, a text or even a simple melody. This mode of expression is a constant source of motivation for me, because it allows me to explore various artistic forms such as music, poetry, painting or literature, all essential to the creation of a successful montage. Some time ago, with a few members of the club, I had the pleasure of participating in the organization of the International Slideshow Festival. Today, I am delighted to be part of the jury of the "Coupe Lumière 2025". I will approach this mission with particular attention to the montages, and I look forward to discovering the audiovisual creations of all the participants this year, beyond the simple prize list. I look forward to viewing the works of these image enthusiasts.
